Slavery is a very prevalent issuse in Huck Finn. It discusses it as society’s crutch but also as an evil that shouldn’t be. It is also apparent in the book that Huck thinks of himself as better even though he has no more intelligentience than that of Jim.

I agree with my classmates… Twain expresses his view of slavery through Jim. However, he also expresses his view of the relationship between whites and blacks in this era. Although, as Elizabeth mentioned, Huck is just as illiterate as Jim. Yet since he is white, he thinks himself higher than Jim. Also, this book shows the relationship between families. For example, Huck and Pap; they had a hard family life. They struggled financally.

I will ahve to agree with my fellow classmates on the issue; slavery and ill educated people. Many of the white characters in the story are ill educated and still think of themselves being above the blacks. Huck is just as illiterate as Jim, but thinks highly of himself just because of his skin color.

Racism and slavery are the main social issues that are portrayed in Huck Finn. One of the best parts to show this issue was when this quote comes up “Anyone hurt. Nope just killed a n*****”. This conveys one of the best examples of racism.

The main issue discussed in Huck Finn is the evils of slavery. The fact that it is not necessary to conform to society is also apparent. Family and friend relationships are also discussed.

slavery was a big issue during the time and the fact that the south was less educated then the rest of the country was because the plantations were spread and others who didn’t own plantations didn’t have time to send their children to school. But it shows how ignorance can lead to unwanted killings

he shows issues of slavery, how blacks are treated, he also shows how ill educated a lot of the people during this time period are especially in the south,etc., he also shows how families act , and how people kill each other to settle disagreements and he tries to show the wrongs in these issues also
